Have one master, Jehovah!
Be a good and faithful servant to Him and our reward is eternal life! As Scripture states we can only serve one master faithful. Many of us will and currently subscribe to plural masters. I can tell you from first hand experience that failure will be the end result. This end is true for all who choose to slave themselves to anything but God. We must be willing to do anything for God...a true and faithful servant would.
We must live by God's precepts, the commandments of Christ: love God above all else and love your neighbor as yourself, while going out and making disciples of the world. These will enable one to truly submit to God and let Him be our master. Jehovah is omniscient omnipotent omnipresent Father that knows all including every heart of every human being. His way and will for us is perfect, His grace and mercy are sufficient, and His love will endure forever.
Slaving ourselves to YahWeh should be an easy and admirable decision. However as time passes, more people slave themselves prince of evil and all his false promises for momentary gains in money lust and all other forms of self indulgence. All to destroyed for obeying the wrong master. If you are reading this, do you find yourself serving the wrong master? If you are unsure think about this: is my own personal happiness the most important thing to me? Is self the only thing that matters? What is stopping me from giving God a try? Step back and realize something. We slave ourselves to things for happiness. Happiness is temporary and we will be on and ferris wheel that never ends looking for the next best thing that give us our growing need for happiness.
God gives us joy as an eternal gift that can never be stolen away like the nonsense we seek to make us happy. This joy is similar to the well of living water Jesus referenced in chatting with the Samaritan woman at the well in that it never ends, never runs out.
By allowing God to be our only master, by being faithful servants to Jehovah alone, we are guaranteed joy, peace, mercy, grace, love and a spot in Heaven. Being the same for anything others than YahWeh will leave you lost hurt and potentially outside of Heaven. The Scriptures below speak to this. There is nothing lost in giving God a try. I pray we all rejoice in the glory of God together, leaving no one behind. Let us rejoice in servitude to God together.
1 Peter 2:15-16 NIV For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.
Matthew 6:23-25New International Version (NIV) 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy,[a] your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Matthew 24: 45-51 45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant,(AW) whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.(AX) 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.(AY) bad servant and the consequences as told by Christ Himself. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.(AZ) 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth
